"The tuba made me realize that musical instruments are very interesting sculptural media. The tube that carries the sound can also be the tube of a sculpture. That can be mixed, and that's how you can soften boundaries."
Luser's most important tool is the stroke. The line he draws is fine and precise; it becomes a pattern, a formula, an image, a word, a narrative. Like a clear thought, it makes connections. A circuit diagram emerges that defines levels, elaborates structures, establishes relationships, and enables orientation. A thought landscape of stories, assertions, impressions and associations spreads out. The eye follows the line closely, lets itself be carried over hill and dale and gets lost, while the brain strands strive for an overview in order to keep an eye on the whole. Each new stroke formulates a new horizon, eyes and thoughts hurry towards it, they will never reach it, because another pulls them away, a word pushes itself into the way and another door opens. Behind it threatens a new world, the strands of the circuit diagram twist, perception becomes a labyrinth and associations gallop.
