Petar Mirkovic is showing works from his latest "Islands Series"
"A new series of drawings deals with the concept of the island as a metaphor.
These are isolated self-sufficient worlds that can represent an entire world in a concentrated form. Mystical unexplored areas that offer explorers a path of transformation or evoke the idea of escaping into the world of dreams and fantasy. Depending on our condition, they can be places of loneliness and isolation or represent independence and self-confidence, places of comfort, security, and peace.
Night also carries similar qualities, it is the mystical part of the day when energies are silenced, a time for dreams and fantasies, peace, and meditation. That is exactly the time of the day when I draw and when all these drawings were created."
